Their traditional Glass Igloos are about as close to a real “igloo” as you can get, with a dome design offering panoramic views of the sky above. The West and East village Glass Igloos are ideal for two people, while the larger option sleeps up to four. Both include a private WC, shower & sauna.

Wow, wow, wow. If you’re after something completely different, this might be the most unique stay on this list!! And with raving 9.8/10 reviews across 200+ guests, I couldn’t not put this option near the top.
What started in 2012 as one man towing a small cabin onto the frozen lake to watch the northern lights has grown into a handful of 8 unique cabins that offer one of Lapland’s most memorable stays.
At Lake Inari Mobile Cabins, you’ll snuggle up in your own little red “igloo” cabin and be towed by snowmobile onto the frozen lake, around 2km from shore.
With zero light pollution and uninterrupted views of the sky, it’s one of the most unique ways and – in our opinion – best ways to spend a night under the Northern Lights.

Inside the igloos: The cabins are simple but cosy, with a comfortable bed and large windows designed for sky viewing. While more basic than traditional igloos, they’re warm and purpose-built for the experience.
Facilities on-site: Before heading out onto the lake, you’ll stay at the base camp where you’ll find shared facilities including a kitchen, dining area, showers and restrooms plus a wood-fired sauna.

The Sky View Suites in particular are beautifully designed, with a cosy lounge and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the snowy landscape, plus an elevated bedroom with a north-facing sky window positioned directly above the bed for northern lights viewing.
