5 INCREDIBLE GLASS IGLOO HOTELS IN TROMSO, NORWAY FOR NORTHERN LIGHTS!

SO, YOU’RE SEARCHING FOR YOUR DREAM IGLOO HOTEL IN TROMSO, NORTHERN NORWAY? 🛏🌌

Well, you’re absolutely in the right place!

Tromsø (being so far north in Norway) is a serious northern lights hotspot. For us personally, the BEST and strongest northern lights displays we have ever seen were in Tromsø when we visited a few years back 🤩

Staying in an igloo hotel (with a transparent roof) doesn’t just boost your chances of seeing the aurora, it also gives you the dream setup for it.

Cocooned in a warm, crunchy duvet in a nice comfy bed! Honestly, I can’t think of a better way, can you? 🤩

Tbh, we were actually a bit surprised that there aren’t more igloo hotels near Tromsø city itself, considering it’s worldwide reputation for epic northern lights.

Still, we’ve managed to find 5 epic igloo hotels that are at least directly accessible from Tromsø below.

From cosy canvas domes to luxury glass lodges, this list will make your planning easy!

FINAL THOUGHTS: WHICH IGLOO HOTEL IN TROMSO IS BEST FOR YOU?

To wrap up, we were actually quite surprised how few igloo hotels there are in Tromsø at the moment, considering it really is one of the best places to see northern lights, in the world!!

Thankfully, Æra Nord (just 36 minutes drive away) has a luxury glass igloo in Tromsø option with its jaw-dropping Panorama glass Lodge®, the bedroom jutting straight out for uninterrupted coastline / fjord views.

The full height glass windows / ceiling design for us makes the Panorama Glass Lodge® the BEST glass igloo hotel experience in Tromsø, owing to the higher price tag.

We love the fact they also have a premium budget friendly option in their new canvas Aurora Igloos, still with a good sized transparent roof and window, ideal for seeing northern lights in the same gorgeous setting.

For more of a laid-back glamping experience, head to North Experience Base Camp, slightly further out at 1hr 25 minute drive away. Their AuroraHut canvas tents have a transparent roof and side for ultimate aurora viewing.

I do hope this guide has been helpful! Let us know how your Tromso igloo experience was at hello@theflainstravel.com!
